  patrol02.png - Occasionally the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) would get alerted and rush to the border. We always had one tracked vehicle on immediate standby and a platoon on alert once that vehicle left the camp. Here you see one of our ITVs (Improved TOW Vehicle) sitting very close to the border line itself. So as not to scare the bad guys we never raised the "hammerhead" containing the missile launchers! The machine guns on the straight M113s would be covered. And we'd drive leisurely up to the line! Oh the games we played.
