| M551s as OPFOR VISMOD T80s at Fort Irwin in October 2003, just prior to retirement. The turret is traversed over the back deck and fender extensions can clearly be seen. Also noted, extended " gun" tubes with colorful names, MILES gear to include the "Hit" strobe lamp and Hoffman II main gun firing signature simulator as well as simulated reactive armor. --Doug Kibbey | |
