Edward Dempsey

Ed Dempsey who served in Troop E in the mid 1970s is deceased.  After his tour in Germany ended, he married a local woman and along with his new extended German family, helped run a local Gasthaus.  As an inn keeper,  he touched the lives of many, many troopers.

Ed was the go to guy when you needed a recommendation for a local car mechanic, an explanation of some quirk of tenant - landlord rules or just a good meal and a beer.  He was instrumental in assisting the first 11th Cavalry reunion in Bad Kissingen and will be missed by all who knew him.
