In the Winter of 1943, the officers and men of the 13^th Medical Training and Replacement Battalion stationed at Manteuffel Kaserne in Bad Kissingen created and performed a musical and comedy variety show to help raise funds for the annual, Winterhilfswerk, Winter Aid campaign. We tell the story of this event in the Hidden Story: The Boys in the Band.

A professionally photographed and beautifully captioned photo album was created as a souvenir of the event, probably as a gift to the battalion commander. The captioning was done in verse, in keeping with the comic themes of the show. Those pages not captioned had hand drawn motifs illustrating the bar music that was performed.

Here are all the images in the album. I have tried to translate the verse to capture the intent and have added brief additional annotations, to assist the viewer in understanding the flow of the show.
